La sceneggiatura di Gilson Willets si basa sull'omonimo lavoro teatrale di Edward Peple: ambientata in Inghilterra, la commedia debuttò a Broadway il 4 settembre 1905 interpretata, nel ruolo del conte di Huntington, da Cecil B.
