The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

What happens
Alemdar Mustafa Paşa, 1918 yapımı tarihsel film denemesi. Türk sinemasındaki tespit edilebildiği kadarıyla ilk tarihî film denemesidir; I. Dünya Savaşı Osmanlı Devleti'nin yenilgisi ile sonlanıp; İstanbul'un işgale uğraması üzerine kimi kaynaklara göre çekimler tamamlanamamış; kimi kaynaklara göre o sırada çekimleri bitmiş olan filmin montajı henüz tamamlanmadan Cemiyet'teki tüm belge ve filmlere el konulmuş ve film kaybolmuştur. Alemdar Mustafa Paşa filmi, Celal Esat Arseven ve Salah Cimcoz’un “Sultan Selim-i Sâlis” oyununun bir uyarlaması idi. Senaryosunu Sedat Simavi yazmış, yapımcılığın Müdâfaa-i Milliye Cemiyeti üstlenmiştir. O devirde "tarihte şanlı bir sayfa" olarak görülen Alemdar Vakası'nı ele alan filmin ana karakteri, Burhanettin Tepsi'nin canlandırdığı Mustafa karakteridir. Film çekimleri sırasında Temaşa dergisinin Sinema Aleminden köşesinde tarihî şahsiyetlerle ilgili çekilecek filmlerin kötü yapıldığı takdirde Türklerin haysiyetini zedeleyeceği konusunda endişeler dile getirilmişti.
