About

Touhou Puppet Play Enhanced (Reloaded), by Zeta Sukuna, is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokémon FireRed, replacing classic Pokémon with characters from the Touhou Project series. Much like Moemon, it gives a distinct aesthetic overhaul — but Touhoumon goes even further by introducing new moves, reworked type interactions, and, starting with the "1.8" update, entirely new type definitions. Over time, Touhoumon hacks evolved into a foundation for numerous regional and mechanical spin-offs, both in Japan and the West. Among the most notable are Touhoumon Purple, Touhoumon Another World, and Touhou Puppet Play Enhanced, the latter of which this project is based on. Puppet Play Enhanced was originally a Japanese compilation of various Touhoumon patches — notably including the "Johto" region and the "Sliding Evolutions" system. It was later translated into English by Aichiya Sanae, who is also known for Another World and World Link. Fondly remembered, the hack was improved further by Zeta Sukuna, who eventually developed a full-fledged overhaul of the game worth sharing with others.
