చిత్తజల్లు పుల్లయ్య దర్శకత్వంలో 1936లో ఈస్ట్ ఇండియా ఫిలిం కంపెనీ పతాకంపై తెలుగులో ధ్రువ విజయము, సతీ అనసూయ అనే రెండు సినిమాలు కలిసి రూపొందించి జతగా మే 8, 1936న విడుదల చేశారు. పెద్ద నటీనట వర్గంతో 'ధ్రువ విజయము', పిల్లలతో 'సతీ అనసూయ' నిర్మించారు. అప్పట్లో ఒకే టిక్కెట్పై రెండు సినిమాలు కలిసి చూపించే పద్ధతికి శ్రీకారం చుట్టారు. టిక్కెట్టు వెల రెండు అణాలు ('బేడ'). ఈ సినిమాకు రేలంగి వెంకట్రామయ్య ప్రొడక్షన్ మేనేజర్గా వ్యవహరించారు. కళ అడవి బాపిరాజు, సంగీతం : ప్రభల సత్యన్నారాయణ. 'జో అచ్యుతానంద జో జో ముకుంద' అనే అన్నమాచార్య కీర్తన ఈ చిత్రంలో ప్రప్రథమంగా వినిపించారు. మాటలు, పాటలు రికార్డుల రూపంలో రావడం ఈ చిత్రంతోనే ప్రారంభం అయింది. రికార్డులు సన్ రికార్డింగ్ కంపెనీవారు విడుదల చేశారు.
