『八ツ墓村』（やつはかむら）は1951年に東映京都撮影所で製作、東映で配給された日本映画。横溝正史の『八つ墓村』最初の映画化作品。片岡千恵蔵版金田一耕助シリーズの第3作。監督・松田定次、脚本・比佐芳武。後の東映社長・岡田茂の三本目のプロデュース作。 東映は片岡千恵蔵を主役とする「金田一耕助シリーズ」を6作制作し、本作は『三本指の男』『獄門島』に続く第3作。6作のうち比佐芳武が脚本に関わった5作は、原作を読んでいる観客の意表を衝くという意図で犯人を原作と変更しており、本作『八ツ墓村』では原作に登場しない人物を犯人に仕立てている。製作当時の『キネマ旬報』に「探偵映画」と書かれており、読売新聞の広告に「東映探偵巨編 犯人は誰か？」と大きく書かれたものがあるため、原作とは別に映画を観て観客に犯人を当ててもらうのが売りだったと見られる。 プリントは現存しないとされ、シナリオのみ二松學舍大学の「横溝正史旧蔵資料」に所蔵されている。 (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
