It shows Winston Churchill arriving for a conference in Bermuda, the aftermath of a fire in the Korean city of Pusan, and celebrations in Yugoslavia for the 10th anniversary of its liberation. The reel also includes a circus performance in Italy and the start of a six-day bicycle race in Denmark.

Politikens filmjournal 224 er en dansk ugerevy fra 1953. 1) Bermuda: Englands premiereminister Sir Winston Churchill ankommer til tremagtskonferencen mellem USA, England og Frankrig, hvor han skal være vært. Churchill får en hjertelig modtagelse i lufthavnen. Konferencen skal afholdes på Mid Ocean Club, hvor pressen er mødt talstærkt op. 2) Korea: Byen Pusan raseret af brand. Halvdelen af byen er lagt i aske. Den amerikanske general Maxwell Taylor og Sydkoreas præsident Syngman Rhee hædrer 3. amerikanske infanteridivision ved troppeparade. 3) Jugoslavien: 10-årsdag for befrielsen fejres i en by i Jugoslavien. Hele byen er flagudsmykket og 50.000 jugoslavere er dukket op for at vise deres støtte til forbundspræsident Josip Broz Tito. Tito holder tale om Trieste-problemet. 4) Italien: Tysk cirkusforestilling i Venedig med halsbrækkende akrobatik og farlige dyr. Isbjørne rutsjer på rutsjebane, og en brun bjørn kører på løbehjul iført kjole. 5) Cykelløb i Forum: Seksdagesløbene startes. Alle ryttere får et kys af en 'Lommer-pige'. Skuespillerinde Grethe Thordal skyder løbet i gang. Politikens Filmjournal var en dansk ugerevy, der udkom i 257 afsnit fra august 1949 til juli 1954.
