What happens

Between Love and Duty (French: Le bois des amants, Italian: Il bosco degli amanti) is a 1960 French-Italian war drama film directed by Claude Autant-Lara and starring Laurent Terzieff, Erika Remberg, Horst Frank and Gert Fröbe. Set during the Second World War, it draws inspiration from the plot of the much older play Terre inhumaine by François de Curel. It was shot at the Billancourt Studios in Paris and extensively on location around Finistère. The film's sets were designed by the art director Max Douy. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
