Yö vai päivä on marraskuussa 1962 ensi-iltansa saanut suomalainen komediaelokuva, jonka käsikirjoittivat ja ohjasivat Risto Jarva ja Jaakko Pakkasvirta. Elokuva oli sekä Jarvan että Pakkasvirran debyyttielokuva ohjaajana. Elokuvan pääosissa nähdään Eino Krohn, Elina Salo, Ismo Kallio sekä Numidia Vaillant. Elokuva kuvattiin touko-lokakuussa 1962 Helsingissä, Tampereella, Hämeenlinnassa, Puumalassa, Kuusamossa, Lapissa ja Valkeakoskella. Elokuva oli ensimmäisiä modernismistalähde? vaikutteita ottaneita suomalaisfilmejä. Uraauurtava teos oli myös värikuvauksen käytössä. Elokuvaaja Reijo Lås ainoan kerran parhaan värikuvauksen Jussi-palkinnolla vuonna 1963. Elokuvan muutamat sävelmät julkaistiin myös Filminorin toimesta singlenä. Elokuva julkaistiin ensimmäistä kertaa fyysisenä tallenteena DVD-levyllä vuonna 2005 Finnkinon levittämänä. DVD-levyn lisämateriaalit sisältävät dokumenttielokuvat Ohjaajan muotokuva: Risto Jarva ja Risto Jarva työtoverini, mestarin muisto, trailerin sekä Jarvan lyhytelokuvat Kaupungissa on tulevaisuus (1967) ja Kitka (1963).
