Kun taivas putoaa... on Risto Jarvan ohjaama, lehdistön maailmaan sijoittuva elokuva vuodelta 1972. Filmin kuvitteellisen "keltaisen lehden" esikuvana on yleisesti pidetty Hymy-lehteä ja Erkki Pajalan esittämää sensaatioreportteria Hymyn tähtitoimittajan Veikko Ennalan alter egona. Sensaatiolehdessä sai kirjoittaa kenestä tahansa melkein mitä hyvänsä, kunnes vuonna 1974 Suomen rikoslakiin lisättiin ”Lex Hymynä” tunnettu pykälä yksityiselämää loukkaavasta tiedon levittämisestä. Hymyn kustantaja Urpo Lahtinen yritti puhdistaa mainettaan antamalla ohjaaja Jarvalle rahapalkinnon ”hyvän asian puolesta tehdystä työstä”. Jarva lahjoitti rahat Filmihullu-lehdelle. Mustavalkoinen elokuva kuvattiin tuolloin uudelle Super 16 -filmille, jonka kuva-ala oli tavallista 16 millimetrin filmiä isompi. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
