Die deutschsprachige Erstausstrahlung der ersten Folge der dritten Staffel folgte 1975 im Deutschen Fernsehen. Die US-amerikanische Schauspielerin Vera Miles verkörpert als Kosmetikherstellerin und Doppelmörderin Viveca Scott die Gegenspielerin von Inspektor Columbo, dargestellt von Peter Falk.
