How it feels
This film follows the 17th century English social reformer Gerrard Winstanley and his followers as they try to create a communal farming community on common land. It shows their struggles against local landowners and the harsh realities of trying to live outside the established social order.

Winstanley is a 1975 British black-and-white film directed by Kevin Brownlow and Andrew Mollo and starring Miles Halliwell and Terry Higgins. It was written by David Caute and Brownlow based on Caute's 1961 novel Comrade Jacob.
