Biswas (Nepali: विश्वास) is a 1986 Nepalese feature film directed by the prominent lyricist and filmmaker Chetan Karki. Produced under the banner of the state-owned Royal Nepal Film Corporation (RNFC), the film features an ensemble cast including Shiva Shrestha, Roshi Karki, Rajshree Chhetri, Arjun Jung Shahi, Shanti Maskey, Deepak Chhetri, Mithila Sharma, and Jayanendra Chand. The film's music was composed by the legendary musician Gopal Yonzon. Released on May 5, 1986, Biswas belongs to the early foundational golden era of the Nepalese film industry, during which the government heavily supported native cinematic productions to foster Nepalese art and culture.
