How it feels

It's about three generations of the Kong family in China. They feel stuck in their old ways because they believe they are direct descendants of the philosopher Confucius. The story shows their personal struggles and emotional conflicts as the country goes through social reforms.

Descendants of Confucius (originaltittel: Que li ren jia) er en kinesisk dramafilm fra 1992 regissert av Wu Yigong. Filmen handler om motsetningene og de følelsesmessige forviklingene til tre generasjoner i Kong-familien som sitter fast i tradisjoner fordi deres etternavn er antatt å nedstamme i direkte linje fra filosofen Konfucius. Konfliktene kommer særlig til syne når reformens tidevann feier over Kina. En ledende rolle spilles av Zhu Xu. Den ble kåret til beste film ved Huabiao Awards.
