A Single Child’s Story (originaltittel: Yi ge du sheng nü de gu shi) er en kinesisk dramafilm fra 1994 regissert av Guo Lin. Filmen handler om en 12 år gammel jente som må kjempe ekstra hardt for å beholde plassen på skolen når hennes mor blir alvorlig kreftsyk og ikke har lenge igjen å leve. Den ble kåret til beste film ved Hundred Flowers Awards (delt med The Accused Uncle Shangang og Probation Within the Village).
