How it feels
An elderly couple finds a colorful traditional rug called a gabbeh by a river. They wash the rug and a mysterious woman appears from it. The story follows her memories and her desire to marry a man her family rejects.

Gabbeh (Persian: گبه) is a 1996 Iranian film directed by Mohsen Makhmalbaf. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival.
