Elokuva kertoo nuoresta Akusta, jota ylioppilaskirjoitusten jälkeen uhkaa tylsä kesä, kun tyttöystävä, kaverit ja vanhemmat lähtevät kaupungista. Tylsältä vaikuttava kesä muuttuu juhannuksena, kun elämää vähemmän kokenut Aku kohtaa kauniin ja villin Julin.
