How it feels
This nature documentary shows untouched ancient forests of Lithuania. It follows wildlife from thickets to wolf dens and stork nests, and also looks at the forest edge where people live. The film was made to draw attention to the rapid logging of these old woods.

What happens
Sengirė – 2017 m. Lietuvos dokumentinis filmas, sukurtas Mindaugo Survilos. Filme vaizduojamos Lietuvos sengirės – neliesti miškų plotai ir jų gyvūnija: pradedant nuo miško brūzgynų iki vilkų urvų, kylant aukštyn į juodųjų gandrų lizdus ir neriant gilyn į povandeninius miškus, ir sugrįžtant į pakraštį miško, kur gyvena žmogus. Filmas buvo kuriamas 12 metų. Filmo premjera 2017 m. įvyko Amsterdame, IDFA festivalyje, vėliau rodytas kitur užsienyje (Sidnėjuje, Tokijuje, Niujorke), daug kur Lietuvoje. Filmas „Sengirė“ gavo 2 „Sidabrinės gervės“ apdovanojimus už geriausią operatoriaus darbą (Mindaugas Survila) ir profesinės meistrystės (garso takelis) darbą (Saulius Urbanavičius, Jonas Maksvytis). Taip pat filmas pelnė ir daugiau nacionalinių bei tarptautinių apdovanojimų. Filmas sukurtas tikintis atkreipti dėmesį į sparčiai kertamus senuosius Lietuvos miškus. Tuo tikslu įkurtas „Sengirės fondas“. Fondas savo veiklą pradėjo turėdamas pradinius 60 tūkst. eurų, skirtus nuo „Sengirės“ filmo pajamų. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
