Elokuva on taidedokumentti, joka kertoo kuvitteellisesta, Helsingissä eduskuntatalon lähellä sijaitsevasta nykytaiteen museosta. Elokuvassa haastatellaan monia taiteilijoita ja esitellään heidän teoksiaan. Vuonna 1996, parin sadan metrin päähän elokuvan kuvitteellisen museon paikasta avattiin nykytaiteen museo Kiasma.
