Elokuvasarjan ensimmäinen osa on Minä olen – Elokuva tundralla asuvien ihmisten taiteesta: Esihistoria ja kohtaaminen (1992). Elokuva on taidedokumentti, jossa esitellään arktisella alueella asuvien kansojen 1900-luvulla tekemää taidetta.
