What happens

Niksulan TV oli 1960-luvulla Suomen televisiossa lähetetty lastenohjelma, jonka sisällöstä vastasi näyttelijäpariskunta Matti ja Irja Ranin. Se oli Suomen ensimmäinen television lastenohjelma. Sarja alkoi silloisella TES-TV-kanavalla nimellä Pikkuväen iloksi, vuosina 1960–1963 sen nimenä oli Raninien tv-perhe, sen jälkeen vuoteen 1969 Niksulan TV ja vuodesta 1969 alkaen Niksula. Sarjaa esitettiin vuosina 1964–1967 TES-TV:n seuraajaksi tulleella TV2-kanavalla ja vuodesta 1967 TV1-kanavalla. Sarja päättyi 1972. Puolituntiset jaksot esitettiin aina torstai-iltapäivisin. Niksulan TV oli tyypiltään makasiiniohjelma. Ohjelman tunnetuin hahmo oli Matti Raninin esittämä käsinukkehahmo Kasper-nukke, joka esiintyi Kasper-teatteri-nimisessä osiossa. Muita hahmoja olivat esimerkiksi ohjelman maskotti Niksu-nukke (äänenä Irja Ranin), noita Eulaalia Kenkkunen (äänenä Pirkko Aarnio) ja Hjalmar Löfvingin esittämä setä Pim-Pom. Lisäksi ohjelmassa esitettiin ulkomaisia piirrettyjä. Lapset saivat itse osallistua ohjelman tekoon esimerkiksi lasten levyraadin ja musiikkileikkikoulun muodossa. Loppuvuosinaan sarja muuttui selkeämmin valistukselliseen suuntaan. Niksu-nukke oli englantilainen Noddy eli Lelumaan Niksu. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
