The 3D catalogue: film cases on wooden shelves, with the cat sitting at the counter next to its greeting.

The catalogue in 3D

The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this series is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

How it feels

This Finnish TV series from the 1960s is about a small farmer family living in the countryside. It shows their daily life and struggles, unlike many other family shows of the time that were set in cities.

What happens

Tuulensuun tuvassa (aluksi Tuulentupa, myöhemmin Tuulensuun tupa tai Tuulensuuntupa) oli Mainostelevision ohjelmistossa vuodesta 1964 ainakin vuoteen 1967 esitetty televisiosarja. Se kertoi pienviljelijäperheen elämästä, kun useimmat siihenastiset perhesarjat (kuten Me Tammelat) olivat sijoittuneet kaupunkilaiskoteihin. Sarjan käsikirjoittaja oli Else Mattila, ohjaaja Kaarlo Hiltunen ja sen pääosissa näyttelivät Holger Salin (isä), Henny Valjus (äiti), Olavi Kaihlanen (Petteri), Alla Kaihlanen (Anu) ja Anja Haahdenmaa (Helinä). MTV esitti sarjaa ensin sunnuntai-, sitten lauantai-illoissa ja lopulta keväällä 1967 tiistai-illoissa kerran kuukaudessa. Vuoden 1964 tammikuussa alkanut sarja ylsi vielä maaliskuussa 1967 MTV:n ohjelmiston neljänneksi katsotuimmaksi ohjelmaksi lähes puolellatoista miljoonalla katsojalla. Sarjan jaksot olivat noin puolen tunnin mittaisia ja mustavalkoisia. Yhtään jaksoa ei ole säilynyt. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
