What happens
《삼국기(三國記)》는 대하드라마(사극)로 1992년 4월 12일부터 1993년 4월 17일까지 KBS 1TV에서 방영된 50부작 사극이다. 대한민국 국내 방송 드라마 역사상 삼국 시대를 다룬 최초의 TV 드라마 작품이기도 하다. 이전까지의 사극에서의 야외 세트 촬영 등은, 경기도 용인에 있는 《한국민속촌》에서의 촬영이 대부분이었으나, 이 작품에서는 아무래도 삼국 시대의 배경화가 되는 세트를 필요로 하였기에, 한국민속촌 외에 야외 세트장을 최초로 조성하여 촬영을 하였다는 큰 의의도 있다. 삼국이 존립하던 시기부터 신라가 삼국을 통일하기까지 시대에 거쳐 가는 흐름 등을 집중 조명하였다. 이남교 원작의 대하 소설 작품을 사극 드라마 방영화한 작품이기는 하지만, KBS에서 방송하는 내용과 동일하다는 책 커버를 달고 방송 시점과 거의 동일한 시기에 《삼국기(三國記)》라는 소설책이 재차 출간되기도 하였다.
