Filmens hovedrolle som detektiv spilles af Valdemar Psilander og rollen som skurk spilles af Robert Schyberg. Filmen havde dansk premiere den 17. marts 1913 i Panoptikon Teatret og blev i tysktalende lande distribueret som Die Stimme des Gewissens, i engelsktalende lande som The Mystery of the Corner House og i fransktalende lande som Remords.
