Suotorpan tyttö on Toivo Särkän ohjaama suomalainen romanttinen elokuva vuodelta 1940. Se perustuu Selma Lagerlöfin pienoisromaaniin Suotorpan tyttö (1908). Elokuva kertoo aviottoman lapsen synnyttäneen piian (Regina Linnanheimo) ja häntä ymmärtävän talollisen pojan (Tauno Palo) rakkaudesta. Victor Sjöström ohjasi samasta tarinasta jo vuonna 1917 elokuvan Suotorpan tyttö (Tösen från Stormyrtorpet). Se oli ensimmäinen Lagerlöfin teksteihin perustuva elokuva. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
