The catalogue in 3D

The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

How it feels

The Suominen children, inspired by the performing arts, organize a fundraiser for a poor war widow at their summer home in the countryside. Later, they put on a theatrical evening in the city where cousin Pipsa becomes the central focus.

What happens

Suomisen taiteilijat on Orvo Saarikiven ohjaama mustavalkoinen suomalainen elokuva vuodelta 1943. Se valmistui kuudesta Suomisen perhe -elokuvasta kolmantena. Elokuvassa on kaksi tarinaa, joita yhdistää Suomisten lasten innostus näyttämötaiteisiin. Alkuosassa ollaan maalla Suomisten kesäasunnon maisemissa keräämässä rahaa köyhälle sotaleskelle, ja sitten touhutaan näytelmällistä iltamaa kaupungissa. Elokuvassa nähdään myös Markus-setä. Suomisen taiteilijat on ainoa Suomisen perhe -elokuva, jossa Maire Suvannon Pipsa kohoaa pääosaan ohi Olli Suomisen. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
