The Story of South Island (originaltittel: Nan dao feng yun) er en kinesisk krigsfilm fra 1955 regissert av Bai Chen. Filmen handler om en gruppe kinesiske geriljasoldater og deres kamp mot de japanske invasjonsstyrkene på øya Hainan under den andre kinesisk-japanske krig. Ledende roller spilles av Shangguan Yunzhu og Sun Daolin. Den ble tildelt prisen for fremragende film ved den første Huabiao Awards i 1957 (delt med flere filmer). Filmen er i sort-hvitt.
