The 3D catalogue: film cases on wooden shelves, with the cat sitting at the counter next to its greeting.

The catalogue in 3D

The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

What happens

„Našlaitynas“ (angl. A Place We Call Home) – Lietuvos ir Estijos dokumentinis filmas, sukurtas 2012 m., 20 min. trukmės. „Našlaityno“ nacionalinė premjera įvyko 2012 m. kovo mėn rengtame tarptautiniame festivalyje „Kino pavasaris“, kur pelnė apdovanojimą už geriausią lietuvišką debiutą. 2012 m. „Sidabrinės gervės“ apdovanojimuose nominuotas geriausio trumpametražio dokumentinio filmo kategorijoje. Tai pirmas dokumentinis filmas apie gyvūnų nežudančią prieglaudą Lietuvoje, apie žmogaus ir gyvūno bendrystę. Režisierei Albinai Griniūtei (gim. 1985 m.) šis filmas – debiutas kine, pasakojantis apie Vilniuje veikiančią gyvūnų prieglaudą VšĮ „SOS gyvūnai“, apie vietą, kurioje išmesti, niekam nebereikalingi keturkojai randa saugų prieglobstį ir bilietą į naują gyvenimą, o jais besirūpinantys žmonės – savo pašaukimą. Filmo kūrimas iš dalies finansuotas renkant visuomenės lėšas internetinėje svetainėje, be to, projektu susidomėjo ir jį pagarsino Šefildo dokumentinių filmų festivalis „Sheffield Doc Fest“ Jungtinėje Karalystėje, padėjęs apie lėšų rinkimo akciją sužinoti užsienio auditorijai. Šefilde filmas buvo pristatytas Studentiškų filmų grupėje (Sheffield Student Doc Award). (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
