This is a short silent comedy from 1932 made in Tel Aviv for Purim celebrations. It shows performers and actors in a parade and on screen using title cards. The film was a popular success even though it was made with limited resources.

ויהי בימי הוא סרט קצר, שאורכו 18 דקות, אשר צולם בשנת 1932 בידי חברת הסרטים "מולדת". הקומדיה הופקה על רקע חגיגות פורים והעדלאידע בשנת תרצ"ב בתל אביב. הסרט היה סרט אילם, העלילה ודברי השחקנים הוצגו באמצעות כיתובים בין קטעי הסרט. המוזיקה בסרט הושמעה מתקליטים, שעל גבי אחד מהם הוקלט השחקן משה חורגל מקריא את הפסוק הראשון של "מגילת אסתר", דבר שאפשר לקולנוע "ציון" בירושלים לציין כי זהו הסרט הקולני העברי הראשון בארץ-ישראל. הסרט הופק באמצעים דלים וזכה להצלחה גדולה.
